AbForge is an abs training app. This policy explains what the app collects, what leaves your device, and what does not. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Only two things leave your phone: the photos you choose to scan and your language setting. Everything else, your name, body measurements, workouts, scores and nutrition, stays on your device.
We do not use advertising identifiers, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell data.
When you run a body scan or a meal scan, the photo is sent to our server at api.abforge.online over an encrypted connection, along with your language setting so the analysis comes back in your language.
Our server holds the photo in memory only for the moment it takes to analyse it. It is never written to disk and we do not keep a copy.
To produce the analysis, the photo is processed by OpenAI, a third party. Under OpenAI's standard API terms, they may retain the photo for up to 30 days to detect abuse of their service, after which it is deleted, unless they are legally required to keep it longer. The photo is not used to train their models. Their policy is available at openai.com/enterprise-privacy.
The photo is sent without your name or any account identifier attached.
The following is stored only on your iPhone and is never transmitted to us:
If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
Payment is handled by Apple. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and your purchase history for this purpose. Their policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
The app asks for camera access for three features: the body scan, the optional rep counter, and logging meals by photo or barcode. The rep counter analyses the camera feed entirely on your device and nothing from it is recorded or sent anywhere.
Like any web server, ours records the standard technical details of a request, including your IP address, the time, and the app version. These are used to keep the service running and secure. They do not contain your photo or your body data.
Subscribing to AbForge and using the body scan require you to be 18 or older, and our analysis service declines images that do not appear to be of an adult. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us a photo, write to us and we will act on it.
Under Brazil's LGPD, the European GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to know what is held about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted.
In practice, most of that is already in your hands: your personal data lives on your device, and deleting the app deletes it. For anything else, including a formal request, write to privacy@abforge.online and we will respond within 30 days.
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
